Frances Skogen

Frances passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital at the age of 89. Frances was born on May 13, 1916, the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Andersen) Moen, near Caledonia, ND. She grew up in this area and received her education. Frances was united in marriage to Edwin Skogen. Two sons were born to this union, Clayton and Gerald. They made their home on a farm near Hillsboro for many years. He passed away in 1975. She entered the Hillsboro Nursing Home in 2001 where she has lived since. Frances was a member of Our Savior?s Lutheran Church and the WELCA. Frances is survived by her son, Gerald "Bud" Skogen; her daughter in law, Arlene Dahlstrom Skogen; her sister, Isabelle (Galen) Jeffers; all of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Clayton; her sister, Blanche Eidum; and her brother, Lloyd Moen.
