God saw that Dad?s work and suffering was done on earth and God needed Dad to help Him in Heaven. Thank you our Hero for teaching us How To Love Like Jesus. Frank Kappel, 79, of Fargo, ND passed away Friday, March 02, 2007 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley in Villa Maria, Fargo. Frank Kappel was born on June 21, 1927 in Gladstone, ND to Joseph and Mary (Sigl) Kappel. After his schooling he served in the Korean War. He did his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He was discharged after three months because of rheumatoid arthritis. He returned to the family farm and soon after began working for the Northern Pacific Railroad (now known as Burlington Northern). He started out as a cook and became a brakeman. He worked there until retirement in 1985. He married Wilma Brydl at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson, ND on May 28, 1951. They made their home in Dickinson. They moved to Fargo, ND in May of 1992 because of health concerns and to be closer to family. He entered Villa Maria in September of 2006. Frank was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, United Transportation Union, and the Knights of Columbus. His family meant everything and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Wilma; children: Doug Kappel (Renee) Abilene, TX, Debbie Henke (Doug) Fargo, ND, Dean Kappel (Teresa) Boise, ID, Denise Jordan (Gene) Bismarck, ND, Dee Ann Magrum (Dan) Fargo, ND; 14 grandchildren: Brianna, Zachary, Blake, and Sydney Kappel, Tyson, Justin, and Jadon Henke, Joe and Katie Kappel, Brittany and Brian Jordan, Matt, Dylan, and Hannah Magrum; siblings: Bill Kappel, Puyallup, WA, Jean Haldeman, Kennewick, WA, Joe Kappel (Vi) Dickinsin, ND, Herb Kappel (Dorothy) Fargo, ND, Richard Kappel (Lorraine) Dickinson, ND; and his sister-in-law: Marie Kappel, White Bear Lake, MN. Thank you to all the people who listened to Jesus? calling to come to the aid of our Dad during his time of suffering on this earth. Those special Angels, we, as a family of Frank, would like to thank: all the precious staff at the Villa Maria, the wonderful people from Hospice of the Red River Valley, and a special Angel in Frank?s life, Dr. Tom Kempf, ?the best doc in the world?. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; eight siblings: Pete Kappel, George Schroeder, Ann Svobodny, Ann Kelly, Teresa Forster, Catherine Beline, and two infant brothers. VISITATION: 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND and one hour prior to the service at the church. ROSARY: 6pm Sunday March 5, 2007 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. PRAYER SERVICE: Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 7:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. FUNERAL: 9:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. BURIAL: 3:00 pm Monday March 5, 2007 in North Dakota Veteran Cemetery, Mandan.
