Resided in:
West Fargo, North Dakota
Freddy’s service will be livestreamed and viewable below on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
On July 3rd, 1987, in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, the son of Juan Armando Mendoza-Hidalgo and Elpidia Rodriguez-Cerda was born. He was named Jose Alfredo Mendoza- Rodriguez (Freddy Mendoza).
Freddy met his wife Janet soon after moving to the United States in 2007. They got married on December 17th, 2010, two years after the birth of their first-born child.
He was a hard-working man starting his career in the restaurant industry at Casa Ramos, a mexican restaurant in Fargo, ND. With his strong work ethic and determination to provide for his family, Freddy became a manager at both IHOP and Denny’s.
In 2022, Freddy pursued his dream of being a barber by obtaining his license through Dakota Barber Academy. He found joy in cutting hair and starting his barbering career, where he took every opportunity to help the Hispanic community, something he always strived to do. From educating others about important services to providing unconditional support.
His main goal in life other than supporting and loving his family, was to help others in any way he could. He gave his last dollars to homeless people, gave rides to those in need, and gave advice for those seeking job opportunities. No matter who that person was nor where they came from, Freddy always went out of his way to help.
Freddy has three children, Samantha, Dominic, and Elena Mendoza. He also has a granddaughter, Ximena Mendoza. He was a wonderful father who always ensured to provide and protect his family. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with them. He loved singing to them, cooking delicious meals, watching movies, and loved playing with Elena and Ximena.
Freddy Mendoza is survived by his wife, children, and granddaughter, who for eternity will continue to honor his memory by living with the same strength, compassion, and enthusiasm he displayed every day.
Rest in peace my dear father, your spirit and love will continue to blossom in our hearts.
