Gayle Krause

gayle krause
Life’s blessings to Gayle Gayle Arlene Krause, age 60, of Fargo, ND, was called to Jesus’ waiting arms on Friday, March 26th at her home in Fargo. Gayle was born on June 10th, 1960 in St. Paul, MN to Arlene (Lindquist) and Virgil Scharpen. She was baptized in the Christian faith on June 26th, 1960, at Divinity Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN and reaffirmed her baptismal faith in her confirmation. Romans 8:28 was her passage: ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’ Gayle graduated from Menomonie High School in Menomonie, WI in 1978. She went on to attend Dr. Martin Lutheran College in New Ulm, MN and graduated in 1982 with a teaching degree. She taught at Christ Lutheran School in Eagle River, WI from 1982 to 1987 as well as at St. John’s in Lake City, MN for two and a half years. She also tutored a Christian family, the Jankowski’s, for two years and taught preschool in Rockford, MN. On June 13th, 1987, she married Andrew H. Krause in Eagle River, WI. God blessed them with four children: Nathaniel of Tulsa, OK; Justin (Lindsey) of Red Wing, MN; Nicole Grobe (Nate) of Fargo, ND; and Corey of Red Wing, MN; two grandchildren: Blake (6 years old) and Brooklyn (3 years old) of Fargo, ND. Gayle has moved around due to Andy being a preacher of the Gospel serving in Crandon and Hiles, WI; Rockford, MN; Goodhue, MN; and West Fargo, ND. Gayle’s heart was that of a mom to her children, reading, sleeping, and taking naps. Being grandma to Blake and Brooklyn was the pinnacle of her life. She was in the mold of being a Pastor’s wife. She played organ at church- no jokes please, and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gayle read her devotions everyday while putting up with Andy. She is survived by her husband Andy, her children, mother Arlene, two sisters Lynda (Scott) Larson, and Amy (Rick) Sherrard, two grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and tons of Christian friends. She was preceded in death by her father and four grandparents. Jesus says, because I live, you also will live. – John 14:19

  18. Andy
Some of the best times in my life have been with you Andy. From the time we were little grade school kids, through Prep and into NWC I think of the hundreds of pick up pickle games, football, softball, baskerball whatever was the season. All the Brewer and Bucks games we went to. All the the time we spent together growing up. Our lives have been devoted to our families and have gone separate ways but that does not change those moments in time when you were a very intrigal part of my life. My heart is sullen and broken for the loss of the love of your life Gayle, your life partner and mom to your children. It is impossible to fill a void that has been by your side daily some 35 years. Know that I share your sorrow my friend. The comfort that we also share together is our wholehearted, unwavering conviction that Jesus is Lord and there is a place for us to continue our life once our earthly life has come to an end. Love ya Bro.

  19. Andy,
Sue and I were getting ready to come to the visitation last week when we heard things have been postponed. We continue to hold up your family in prayer here in Brookings and hope you are all doing OK as you recover.

In the meantime, we rejoice for all that Jesus has given to Gayle in her life and now, most importantly, in her death – eternal life with her Savior! May Christ’s words of peace encourage and comfort you and your family.
    Ken and Sue Brokmeier

  20. I remember the kind hospitality and fine meals shared with me when I stayed with you in September of 2019. My sincere condolences to you Andy. Please feel free to give me a call if you might want someone to talk to. May Jesus be your comfort and peace that transcends all understanding. John 3:16.

  21. I’m so sorry Gayle is not here with us, but we know she is in heaven, and we will see her again. All things really do work together for good to those who love God. God’s promises are sure. Jesus goes to prepare a place for us in heaven, where we will rejoice with Him and be united with our loved ones who have gone before us. I’m praying for you, Pastor, and for your family as you grieve your loss.

  22. Pastor Krause, we are so sorry to learn of your wife’s passing. Please accept our condolences and prayers for you and your family—from your friends at Mahn Family Funeral Home

  23. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family as we are thankful to have had the chance to know Gayle in the years your family spent in Goodhue. May we all find comfort in knowing that someday we will all be together again in the presents of almighty God.

  24. Our heartfelt sympathy to you, Andy, and to your family. Gayle was such a sweet and caring lady and devoted Pastors wife. We have very special memories of Gayle and of your family in the time you shepherded the congregation here at Cross. God bless you in the days ahead.
