Geneva "Jean" Fletcher

Jean died on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo at the age of 86.

Geneva Katherine Lettenmaier was born on April 7, 1927, the youngest of six children born to Herbert and Anna (Froelich) Lettenmaier in Valley City, ND. She grew up on the family farm and received her education at Valley City High School.  Jean was united in marriage to Niles Fletcher on July 31, 1955. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Fargo, retiring in 1984. Niles passed away on October 6, 2006. Jean had most recently made her home at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo since January, 2013.

Throughout her life, Jean loved spending time at the lake, reading, crocheting and sewing, playing golf and walking, and attending her grandchildren sporting events.

Jean is survived by her son, Neil (Carol) Fletcher of North Branch, MN; her daughter, Vicki (Jerry) Janssen of Barnesville, MN; her grandchildren – Matt and Sara Fletcher, and John and Andrew Janssen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings
