George Sherman

George Norbert Sherman, 81, Moorhead, MN, went to God on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 under the care of his loving family. George N. Sherman was born in Fingal, ND, to Martin and Theresa (Pratschner) Sherman on March 9, 1922. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Fingal. He married Ellen Zdeb February 27, 1946. They moved to Moorhead in 1948. He worked at Mid-America Steel from 1948 until he retired in 1984. He was active in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Moorhead Knights of Columbus. George is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ellen Sherman; his seven daughters: Judy (Mike) Brodigan, Grapevine, TX, Patricia (Jack) Kuehn, Pyongtaek, South Korea, Pamela (James Norfleet) Elf, Mentor, MN, Joan Rawson, Grapevine, TX, Sharon (Rodney) Rydie, Burleson, TX, Mary (Richard) Simmons, Surprise, AZ, Julie (Steven) Pasche, Moorhead, MN; his four sons, Erwin Sherman, Fort Worth, TX, Randy (Roberta) Sherman, Arlington, TX, Scott (Margaret) Sherman, Orchard Park, NY, Richard Sherman, Huntington Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven sisters and brothers.
