Gladys Morrow
Gladys H. Morrow, 89, Fargo, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. She was born November 11, 1926 in Warwick, ND to Michael and Anna (Peterson) Anderson.
Gladys graduated from Warwick High School, attended Valley City State Teacher’s College, and taught in Warwick and the Fargo Public Schools until 1950. In 1969, she became a librarian at the District Office of the Fargo Public Schools for 22 years before retiring in 1991.
On June 11, 1950 Gladys was united in marriage to Wayne M. Morrow. The couple made their home in Fargo where they raised their three sons. They remained married until Wayne’s passing in 1983.
She is survived by three sons, Mark (Jane) Morrow, Waupaca, WI; Kent (Jane) Morrow, Bismarck, ND; Lee Alan Morrow, New York City, NY; five grandchildren, Kevin (Emily) Morrow, Megan Morrow, Sarah Morrow, John Morrow, Jenny Morrow; and one great-grandchild, Harper Fornstadt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Alma Peterson and Eileen Sinon; and brother, Arvid Anderson.
Gladys will especially be missed for her deep faith and her kind and gentle soul.
There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Messiah Lutheran Church, The Hour of Worship.

Gladys was such a sweet, kind, lovely lady. My sympathy to her boys who were so kind to care for her in these later years of struggle. God speed-to the land of glory Ms. Gladys!
Gladys was a sweet auntie! She was my mom’s best friend, and they had lots of good years between them. I enjoyed my visits with Gladys and she will be missed! Glad her boys were with her when she died, she loved telling me what her boys were up to! Rest In Peace auntie!
Mark, Kent, and Lee, I’m sorry for your loss. Gladys was a very special aunt to me. I loved our outings and our visits, she kept me filled in about her boys and grandkids! She will be missed!
I never met Gladys, but her fine character vividly lives on in her wonderful son, Lee Alan Morrow, from NYC.
Gladys was a special aunt to me, hope she got my Halloween card before she passed. My sympathy to Mark, Kent and Lee. Her memory will live on in our hearts.

Our sympathy and prayers to the Morow family. I have many good memories of Gladys starting back when she was trying to teach me to read before I started school. She must have succeeded as I remember on first grade the teacher asked what did we think happened next and I told her I knew because my cousin was teaching me to read. The teacher was not impressed. I always looked up to her and looked forward to your family coming to the Warwick farm. Also enjoyed your family when Robert and I moved to Fargo. I had a wonderful visit with her this past summer sharing many memories. I will send a memorial to Messiah radio fund. No thank you necessary. Gladys was a kind, gentle lady who married a kindred gentleman, both examples of the reason theirs is America’s Greatest Generation. You will be missed. Your legacy lives on in your three sons.
