The family moved to Jamestown and later to Fargo where she graduated in 1945 from the Sacred Heart Academy (now Shanley). She was employed by Northwestern Bell and AT & T. She married Gene Peterson in June of 2000. Gloria, 96, is now at her heavenly home after passing away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 under the loving care of St Catherine’s North and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Gloria enjoyed decades of winters in Mesa, AZ and summers in MN on Island Lake and Lake Ida. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her club of over 60 years, spending time with friends and family, and good conversation. She would be ready at a moment’s notice for any event or adventure. She was a Charter Member of Holy Spirit Church.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We had so much fun the time we all spent together in Arizona, Larry and I often talk about the fun during our Swedish Progressive Dinner. Love and miss you

  2. We enjoyed so many wonderful visits with our neighbors Gloria and Gene. Made our neighborhood feel like home. We looked out for each others houses, and enjoyed so many dinners out and great story telling. Gloria was a power-house, honest and loyal. There is no one like Gloria.

  3. Connie and Nancy- I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I have so many good memories of hanging out at your house. Your mom was always so kind and smiling.
