Westhope ND I want to send my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mom she was such a special woman and could always make a person smile. I just heard about im deeply sorry.
red lake falls MN I have very fond memories of Gloria. When I was in my teens ,her and her husband Ron would visit at our home. She had a very lovely laugh and sense of humor. I am sure she will be dearly missed.
Fargo North Dakota Gloria & Ron lived across the street from me in Meadow Park years ago. Gloria & I were very good friends. So sorry to hear of her passing. She is now reunited with Ron. She was one of the finestvwomen I have ever met in my life. My kids still mention her once in awhile and their dog, Ginger. RIP Gloria, you will be missed but all whose hearts you touched over the years.
Washburn ND Gloria, Ron and Bruce were my next door neighbors at Community Homes in the early 70’s. I was a single mother of one son and Gloria was like a second mother to me. She babysat my son and got him on the bus to Head Start for preschool while I was working. Her son Bruce also babysat for me often. Gloria taught me how to drink coffee and we visited daily. I lost touch with her when I got married and moved to St. Paul. I was sad to hear of her passing though it brought back many memories of what a kind and generous lady she was. My sincere condolences go out to her family.
Racine WII met this lovely lady for the first time about 6 years ago while visiting Fargo and trying to learn more about how she fit into our Hjelden family. I first learned of her from a book called The Home We Shared (about the ND Children’s Home) and from a newspaper article in the Fargo Forum about being reunited with a brother and 4 sisters after being separated for 48 years. I was so hoping to have more time with her this summer during our upcoming family reunion in Fargo. I think she was a remarkable lady and I was blessed to be included in it for a very short time. No doubt she will be missed by her family!
