He travelled far and wide to see the music and bands and festivals that he loved, Phish, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Billy Strings, and many more. He touched many lives in a very positive way as he loved the music scene and those friend’s he met along the way became his family too! Gunnar will be loved and missed by his father and mother, Wayne and Char, his big sister Katrina Valder and his favorite niece Ava Valder, and of course his dog Ernie. He will be dearly missed by all of his close relatives and friends. His family would also like to acknowledge the community of friends Gunnar made in Ohio that became part of our family. They have shown us tremendous love and compassion during this difficult time. We appreciate the memories and tears they’ve shared with us.
A Private gathering of family and friends for Gunnar’s Memorial of Life will happen this coming Summer.
“whenever I go to concerts, midway through I just stand there in the crowd and I’m like, this is happy, this is what happy feels like. Surrounded by people who I love, screaming to music that I love, seeing people that I love. Dudes, this is happy”
We would like to thank Boulger Funeral and Cremation Services of Fargo and O.R. Woodyard Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus for their care during this most difficult time.

I will never forget the years we spent hanging out, driving the side-by-sides, cruising around town, modding cars, and having fun. I was devastated when I heard the news of your passing. I love you brother, and will see you again on the other side one day.
Love you all very much.
I love you gunner my dad used to bring me down all the time we were younger. I had a blast playing with your western guns and playing cops and robbers when we were kids. It was fun spying on our parents. I wish I could have been more involved as we got older because we shared a lot of the same similarities. I would’ve never thought that day at my dad‘s house would’ve been the last time I seen you, but it will forever cement a memory in my mind. I love you, Cousin I always have. I would’ve never thought I would see the day of your obituary. I love you Gunnar you were and always will be my favorite cousin.
And I’m watching it all go by, I can see, a life beyond the dream 🐟🪷
You have our deepest, heartfelt condolences.
Prayers and hugs to all. ❤️
