Gwen R. Roehrich

Gwen Ruth Roehrich, 90, passed away peacefully December 28, 2025 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo.

Gwen was born September 8, 1935 to Herbert and Pearle (Bean) Ek. She attended and graduated from Campus High School at Moorhead State Teachers College. She met and later married the love of her life, Pius Roehrich on September 30, 1961. Together they made a loving home and cared for 24 foster children before Gwen became the full time babysitter for Becky, John, and Tricia, who were the children of Grant and Julie Hoffner. They were like a second family to Gwen. When Gwen had time, she enjoyed doing many kinds of crafts.

Gwen is preceded in death by her husband, Pius; and her parents.

Gwen is survived by the Hoffner family and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
