Dutch attended a country school and graduated from Walcott, ND High School, lettering in basketball and was cheered on by his favorite cheerleader Elaine Larson. His retired life was filled as a handyman/builder and sports enthusiast.

Elaine and Dutch have been members of Olivet Lutheran Church since 1956, where Dutch was on the call committee and occasionally taught Sunday School.
Dutch and Elaine were a true team and always shared their love of carpentry, golf, gardening, canning, bowling, cards, landscaping and family get togethers. They loved to travel and explore with family and friends. Their trip to Norway was especially memorable.

My sincere sympathy love and prayers to all the family.
In memory of my much beloved uncle (my father Kenneth’s youngest brother) Harlan Luther Boyer; I express deepest condolences to all his family and friends.
Dutch was a thoughtful man and a huge inspiration to me. May he rest in peace for all eternity. I will never forget how he played rapid fire ping pong with uncle Bob in our basement.
Blessings to the Boyer family as you continue on this journey of grief. Dutch was an amazing patriarch of the Boyer family. God’s peace 💜
