  1. Omaha NEMy Dear Garniers,
I’m so sorry to hear of Harold’s passing and through that, find out about Betty’s as well. The pain of losing both your parents is devastating and suposedly natural but somehow feel incredibly unnatural when you’re going through it.

I was a lucky girl to grow up with your family as part of mine. Harold was so much fun and so loving and kind. Working with your dad was one of my dad’s favorite things about working for Champion. Remember all those hours filling goody bags for snowmobile shows? Harold made it such fun. And when my folks moved to Omaha and I stayed in Fargo, your parents took care of me for anything I needed. If I needed a “mom” fix I could stop by your house and Betty was always happy to see me and chat. I have always been so grateful for them.

Much love and many prayers to you all. I’m comforted by the idea that Don, Lila, Jay, Betty & Harold are all up there laughing at each other’s stories again. I hope it comforts you too.
    All my love,
    Suzie Bock

It is so hard to lose a parent but harder to lose both so close in time. But the blessing is that they are both in heaven together. May you cherish all the great memories you have and hold them close to your heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all may God bless you. hugs from Scott and Mary Blotske and our children

He was a wonderful person and a very good friend. We have known Harold for many years. I worked with Harold at Champion Spark Plug Company and enjoyed every minute when I had the opportunity to be with him. His story telling was the best!

  5. The Woodlands TXDear family of Harold & Betty…
Our condolences regarding Harold’s passing. I worked with him for many years with Champion and he was always such a joy to be around! Harold always had a joke or three to tell and I still smile when I think of his laugh! I know he will be missed greatly by all of you, your children, spouses as well as the many that knew him. Harold & Betty left this world a better place leaving a great legacy with you his children and their grandchildren! Our thoughts & prayers are with you. Dear Family Members:

Our sympathy and that of our family to
all of you in the loss of your Dad. We are saddened at how closely you have
lost both your parents. We believe they have joined other family members in
heaven but will always be remembered by us. We are planning on joining you on
    Tuesday for Harold’s service.

Love, Uncle Dick & Aunt Theresa

  11. We love you so much Grandpa and will miss you every day. You were one of the best men and by far the best grandfather any of us could ask for. Your love and care for Grandma was inspiring for all of us who witnessed it and I find comfort knowing that you have reunited with her. Put in a good word for all of us down here!

  12. Hendrum Our thoughts and prayers are sent to all of you during this difficult time. My heart hurts for you as I know all too well how it feels to lose both your parents within such a short time. My strength came from knowing my parents were once again together and watching over those that they left behind. May that thought comfort you all as well. Harold and Betty are having the time of their lives together again and are now your special guardian angels. I so enjoyed getting to know your parents and loved visiting with them. I was amazed at how Harold could always remember my name and gave me grief from the get-go! He’s a special man who I will always remember.
Love and hugs to you all!
    Judy G. and family

Grandpa, I still can’t completely accept the fact that you’ve left us. The last time we visited, I didn’t think “see you later” would ever mean “goodbye”. I already miss you so much, but I guess I understand… You probably couldn’t keep Betty waiting forever.
We are heartbroken down here, but glad that you’re with God… where you have always belonged. Keep watch over us, Grandpa. I know you will, and we will be praying for you always. And don’t worry– I’ll take excellent care of Duke.
Say hi to grandma for me, and I will see you later.
