Harry W. Covell died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Abbott Northwestern Heart Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. Harry was born September 4, 1940 in Lockport, NY to William and Mary Helen Covell. He graduated from Newfane High School (NY). He attended colleges at Buffalo, NY, River Falls, WI, St. Paul, MN, Minneapolis, MN, and graduated with a Business Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Harry’s working career spanned various fields of business, quality control for Univac, production control for Modern Maid, Quality control for Samsonite, owner and proprietor of Kulm Animal Health Center in the Four County Veterinary Clinic, career recruiter for Snelling Personnel Services, a salesperson for Northland Truss, and interviewer for TelaForce and North American Group Research Group. Harry enjoyed watching baseball, football, and basketball at all levels. He coached T Ball and Little League, was involved in Old Pros softball, Lions Club, hunting and fishing. His passion was training his dogs and watching them work. According to Harry the best music of all time was from the 1940’s through the early 1960’s, he had fun playing the saxophone in high school, college dance band, Kulm City band, and just for his own pleasure. Harry is survived by his wife Nancy, his children Danielle Sandbaken, Maple Grove, MN and Brian Covell, Grand Forks, ND his granddaughter Shanon Sandbaken, and his sister Linda Petersen, Shoreview, MN. Harry is preceded in death by his parents. There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11:00am at St. Maurice’s Catholic Church, Kindred, ND.
