Helen Dwyer

Helen Mae Dwyer, age 85, Fargo, ND, joined Jesus in Heaven on Saturday, June 26, 2004 in the loving presence of her children.
Helen Mae Iken was born July 5, 1918 in Fargo, ND where she grew up and attended school. Helen met Clyle Dwyer at the Avalon Dance Pavilion and they married on February 22, 1936 at St. Mary?s Cathedral, Fargo. Clyle preceded her in death on January 16, 2004.
Helen was a loving wife and mother to one son and twelve daughters. Her children consumed her life, as did many of their friends who thought of her as their second mother. Helen also enjoyed caring for other children while their mothers were busy with professional careers.
Helen had the gift of being a good listener and was never too busy to sit and have tea with friends and family. Helen enjoyed doing needlework and made many items for the people in her life.
Helen and Clyle enjoyed traveling to the homes of their siblings when Clyle retired. They made numerous trips to New Mexico, Oregon, California and Montana.
May Helen rest in peace and know that her family loved and cared for her and will miss all the time that was spent with her.
She is survived by one son, Greg (Vicki) Dwyer, Fargo; ten daughters, Teresa (John) Rieniets, Claudia (Steve) DuBord, Maureen (Roger) Cook, Yvonne (Ralph) Nordick, Deanna (Red) Scheer, Mary Chezick, all of Fargo, Colleen (Duaine) Hillstad, Moorhead, Janet (Jeff) Tennison, Dilworth, Pauline (Donnie) Noon, Wilton, Terri(Keith) Lauer, Bismarck; 37 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Gladys Knighton, New Mexico, and Elizabeth Braff, Oregon; and two brothers, Robert Charles Iken, Fargo and Ray Iken, Oklahoma.
Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyle Dwyer; two daughters, Patricia Wright and Bernadine Medler; seven brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon in Church of the Holy Spirit, Fargo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, and also on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
