Ida Liedahl

Ida Liedahl, 94, Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND, formerly of McLeod, ND, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Elim Care Center, Fargo. Ida Solhjem was born June 9, 1910, in rural Leonard, ND, to Iver and Raghnild (Neprud) Solhjem. She attended school at Sheyenne Central in rural McLeod. Ida married Nels Liedahl on February 6, 1935, at Enderlin, ND. Nels and Ida farmed and ranched in the Leonard and McLeod areas. Ida loved gardening and quilting. She was active in the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Leonard, and was a soloist who sang at many funerals and church services. Ida?s husband, Nels, died May 19, 1996, and Ida continued to live on the farm until January 2000 when she moved to Elim Care Center in Fargo. Ida is survived by her three sons: Gerald (Nancy) Kindred, ND, David (Elaine) Liedahl, Alta Loma, CA, and Darrel (Stephanie), McLeod, ND; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Ida is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Fred; and six sisters, Clara, Bena, Frieda, Hulda, Ruth and Stella. The Funeral for Ida will be Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Leonard, ND. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Prayer Service will be Monday, March 14, 2005, at 7:00 pm at the Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND, with visitation from 5:00-7:00pm.
