Ignatius J. "Ron Greywind" Guy

Ignatius Guy, Jr.  AKA Ron Greywind, 50, Fargo, ND, formerly of Tokio, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

He grew up on the Spirit Lake Reservation near Devils Lake, ND. He attended school at Warwick, ND and Devils Lake High School. Ignatius received training as a heavy equipment operator at Kicking Horse, Montana Job Corps.

He moved to Fresno, CA in 1984 where he lived for a few years before returning to North Dakota. He lived in Bismarck and later Jamestown, were he worked as a painter. He moved to Fargo in 1987 where he was employed at Federal Beef in West Fargo and later for Mid America Steel. He retired in 1995 due to health problems.

Ignatius was a gifted Native American Artist. He loved joking around, always trying to put a smile on people's faces.

He is survived by his son, Nathanial (Jessica) Greywind, Victorville, CA;  one brother and three sisters; Cecelia McKay, Donald Alveshere, Laurie Ann Alveshere - Forsberg and Christi Cox; step-children, Joshua Gahner, LaDonna Jacobson, Matthew Braun, Donavan Slater, Amanda Slater, Scott Slater, and Bo Slater, and five grandchildren.

  1. horace n.d.Ronnie was not only someone i loved very much, he was like a father to me and my brothers for many years I still think of him as my dad and I always will! He used to say that my daughter was his angel and she will be his angel always I love and I will miss you always but I know we will some day meet again!! And your angel Tasha and that monkey Gunnar will always remember you too! I know Grandma Rosie will be happy to see you along with uncle Russ, so until we meet again dad, you will be here in my heart and I will miss you every day
