Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Ilene was a smart and sassy Babe. She’s taken a piece of my heart, left a gaping hole in our little group that only the wonderful memories through the years can hope to fill. My heart goes out to Terry, Willie and Kori, Hunter, and Kjai and Maggie, and the rest of her family. I will always miss her.

  2. My heart is heavy and in shock. How can this be? When I think of my friend Ilene, words like…smart and sassy come to mind immediately. She was a good listener and always gave sound advice to friends and family. Ilene was a rock, meeting challenges head on with a confident spirit. Hugs and prayers to Terry, Will, Kori, Kjai, Maggie and Hunter. You were her entire world. Honor her life by living yours to the fullest. She would want it that way.

  3. Ilene and I were law school classmates. There were many days when my spirits were lifted just by her smile and a simple hello. While our paths did not cross that often after graduation, she always greeted me with that same smile, humor and genuine care for others. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Terry and family. She was one of a kind and will be missed.

  4. As a young girl she was a great friend . We had so much fun growing up in Fortuna, ND . So many great memories. She will be remembered fondly. Prayers for the family.

  8. We enjoyed the visits Ilene and Kathy took up North in Canada to visit their Aunt Inga. We benifited by fun in the evenings. Humor. Laughing and bearing local make gifts from North Dakota.

Second story was when we went to visit Elsie. We stayed with Ilene and Terry. In the evening when we were shown our basement bedroom, Ilene gave us a rake to make a path though the lego and toys on the floor.

RIP Ilene , your Norwegian humor will be missed.

  9. Sending my condolences to Ilene’s friends and family and hoping they can celebrate a life well lived.

I did not know Ilene, but still wanted to send my regards. If you look at my name, you’ll understand.

  10. Ilene and I were law school classmates and I just learned of her untimely passing. She was a wonderfully genuine person and she will be missed by all that knew her. My condolences to Terry and her family.

  11. Ilene was a year ahead of me in law school. She introduced me and my family to taco salad, and over some 40 years, we have made it dozens of times, often noting the provenance: Ilene’s picnic. There were the smiles, warmth, and friendship, yes, but oh my, remember that Taco Salad! Sent with sympathy and thanks to Ilene’s family.

  12. Ilene and I were roommates for a short time while she was in Law School and I was in Medical School at UND. I will always remember her lively demeanor and infectious smile. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and my condolences are extended to Terry and all of her family. May the memories of her joyful presence sustain you through your grief.

  13. Ilene was a very special lady. Thought of her today & googled her. Shocked to find her obituary. Great memories of working & playing with her at UND Law School many years ago.

  14. I remember Ilene from over the years as my son David and Willy were on the same soccer teams. What a lovely, kind lady she was! Such a great loss for this family. Those soccer days are long gone but please would there be a way I could drop off a homemade fresh Italian meal for this family? They must be depressed and exhausted. Please reply below if you can help me deliver it as I no longer drive. Love and prayers in the midst of your sorrow 🙏
