  3. I have so many good memories of my auntie. We spent many Christmases being buried in wrapping paper and wrestling with the older cousins at her and Tom’s house. Eating her perfected cream puffs and if we were lucky she would share some of her Pepsi with us. Spending days at Meadow Lake and visiting her at Kmart when we went shopping. I saw her less as I got older and had kids of my own, but made sure to bring the kids over in their costumes on Halloween. In the last few years my mom and sister’s and I would pick her up to go out to eat, (usually hot beef sandwiches at Randy’s) bring her over to play cards or bring her shopping. Watching her get more confused this last year was heartbreaking. There were beautiful times too. Like when we would first get there, you could tell she didnt know who we were for sure, but slowly or like a light switch she could tell you what you wore last visit. Or this one time, a few months ago, she was telling me about a band playing at the home and a gentleman asked her to dance. As she was telling me how she twirled and what a fun time it was, I saw a childish, playful glimmer in her eyes. I’m not sure if there was a dance at the home or if it was memory from before or if it only happened in her mind, but that’s the Inez I’ll remember. She was kind, playful, and giving with just enough stinker mixed in to keep you on your toes. I love you Inez! You are home….
