Irene Theresa Behm passed away Wednesday March 20, 2024, at her home in Fargo, ND.

Irene was born to John and Rosalia (Sherman) Behm in Valley City, ND on May 12, 1948. Irene grew up on the family farm near Fingal, ND. She was the fourth child out of 12 children. She liked baking and helping our mother with the cooking.

Irene worked at Fargo Laundry for over 30 years. She enjoyed making afghans for her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting. She enjoyed watching the older tv shows once she retired including the Beverly Hillbillies, Gilligan’s Island, and Andy Griffith.

Irene is survived by the following sibings. Richard (Barbara) Behm, Maple Grove, MN, Mary Renvall, Salem, OR, Margery (Larry) Johnson, Colorado Springs, CO, Lucille (David) Crouch, Villa Ridge, MO, John Behm, Fingal ND, Lyle (Marietta) Behm, Fingal, ND, and Marlys Behm, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James and Kenneth, and sisters Phyllis and Nancy. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
