Irene Roesler

Irene Roesler, 91, of Leonard, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Irene was born on May 17, 1913 to John and Minnie (Krabbenhoft) Suedel in Sabin, MN. After her schooling she worked at home and for others in the community. She married Orville Roesler on September 7, 1933. He died in 1949. She then married Earl Roesler on January 29, 1951. Irene always enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She took pleasure in gardening and was known as the "flower lady" for supplying flowers for worship services at her church. She and Earl spent 26 wonderful years in Florida during the winter months. She was a longtime member of the Bethel Moravian Church participating in the Women?s Fellowship faithfully over the years. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary of Leonard, ND for many years. Irene was a very dear and special wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Earl; children: LaDon "LD", Leonard, ND, Phyllis Taylor (Richard), Mesa, AZ, Ruby Ellwein (Orville) of Yuma, AZ, Edward Roesler (Jeanette "Putsie"), Fargo, ND, Dennis "Rick" Roesler (Deborah) Leonard, ND 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildrn; and one sister, Julia Gunkel, Moorhead, MN. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Orville Roesler, sisters: Adeline Peterson, Hazel Olson, Ruby Lammers; brothers: Glen Suedel and Andrew Suedel. The Funeral will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Bethel Moravian Church, rural Leonard, ND with burial following at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00pm with a Prayer Service at 5:00pm at the Fredrikson?s Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND on Sunday, November 28, 2004.
