I was so sorry to read about the death of Irma. My sympathy to you Stuart and to all of Irma’s family. I enjoyed our visits when she was at Faith Methodist Church. Always enjoyed seeing you Stuart at our Church rummage sales! Please accept my most sincere sympathy.

Irma M. (Bordt) Porter, 86, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Elim Nursing Home in S. Fargo.
Irma was born July 4, 1937 to Paul R. and Emma E. (Kelm) Bordt in Lisbon, ND, the 2nd of 5 girls. She grew up on a farm in Anselm, and attended church at Anselm Lutheran Church. She graduated from Enderlin High School, and attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. She met and married Gordon (Gordy) Porter on January 16, 1957 in Fargo, where they raised their four children.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Gordon (Gordy) E. Porter, sisters Anna (Bordt) Parsley, Marion (Bordt) Bussey, and Coralyn (Bordt) McIntyre. She is survived by her sister Alice (Bordt) Pfingsten, children Steve (Harriett) Porter, Gladys (Porter) Carlin, Scott (Julie) Porter, Stuart Porter, and grandchildren Kat, Aaron, and Sarah Carlin, Reily (Porter) Altenburg, David Porter, Jordan Novacek, and Chris Porter, and numerous great grandchildren.
