James F. Merrill, 69, Fargo, ND passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025. Jim was the son of LeRoy and Katherine Merrill.
He married Connie Possehl Merrill on February 19, 1983. They lived on Lake Lizzie until November 2024 when they returned to Fargo due to Jim’s health issues.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, Fargo, ND; two daughters, Carrie (Bill) Butler and Amanda (Chance) Larson; grandchildren, Cassandra, Rhiannon, Layla and Allison. He is also survived by his brother, P. Michael Merrill, Fargo, ND.
Jim’s family requests no flowers or plants, memorials preferred.

I met Jim & his brother Mike thru Larry Wussow who I worked with at Schumacher Goodyear. Jim was one of the good guys. We had numerous good times at my farmstead by Kindred ND. Jim was a talented motorcycle enthusiast who wowed us with his skills. He was always at the ready to assist his friends with auto projects. You’ll be missed, my friend. Rest easy, Jim. 💔
