We had some fun and hard working times at Valley Bus. Also at MAT
WHAT years was Jim at MAT? Was it 92-94?
Thank you for all the teachings while we were in EVAC. I will never forget them. I will also never forget that evening after an event when we were just going out for a quick drive to talk, that talk lasted all night and again I will never forget that. I will never forget you. RIP buddy! We will see each other again!
Jim was a classmate of my brother, Richard “Dick” Woods. I remember that he wrote a kind note when Dick passed away in 2020. They were alike in that they both loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Jim was such a kind person. May he rest in peace. God’s peace and comfort to his loved ones.
My deepest sympathies to all on Jim’s death. I got to know Jim when he did the book for South High Basketball. He was a help to me and those around him in making sure we got it right. He was a teacher to the students he was training to take over his job. I saw him a few times when he was helping EVAC deal with a situation. He always had a smile on his face and greeting to give those he came in contact with. Rest in Peace Jim. You will be missed.
Jim we go waaaaaay back. I remember the first time I met you. My mom, Rholeen and your paretns were having a night playing the game Tripoli. Ray, Kurt and Todd Knudson, Rholeen’s sons were there. We had the greatest time shootin the crap. There were many more weekends like that. They were the greatest. My Grandpa always got a kick out of you when football practice was going on after school. They lived right across from the football field. My Grandpa used to say that Jim was the best player because when he would run he would move everyone out of the way so that Hillsboro could make a touchdown. He always thought Jim was the Bees Knees. Jim as for me, I will miss you. I cannot count the number of times you saved me from going out in bad weather. I am one who does not like watching the news. Jim was always on top of everything. I would have driven into a snowstorm or a tornado if it was not for him. Jim, thank you for being a wonderful human being. You are the best. To quote the them song from 1982 Hillsboro Burrors football….. We will We Will Rock You!
Jim I am lighting a blue candle for the Hillsboro Burro Football Team which you were a very important part of. I am always here if you need to talk to Theresa. You know what I mean.
