James William Ramsey, age 72, of Fargo, ND passed away May 1, 2019 at Elim Rehab and Care Center. James was born September 5, 1946 in Washington, DC to James and Elsie (Kostelnak) Ramsey. James moved to North Dakota in 2001. He moved into residential services with Fraser on January 10, 2002. James moved to Elim Rehab and Care Center on August 15, 2016. James was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 10:30 – 11:30 am on Friday, May 10, 2019, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am at the Elim Rehab and Care Center Chapel in Fargo. Burial will be at Springvale Cemetery in Fargo, ND.

  1. I am sorry Uncle James. I never got back out to see you. You will be missed. It should say in your obit how you are survived by a brother and 2 sisters as well as nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and even some great great nephews. But no one knew that or did not care to post it. Much love on your journey to the other side.

        He is my mom’s brother. So that makes him my uncle. I met him when he first came to Fargo and used to visit him often when I lived there. He even attended my college graduation in 2003. He was a great person and it is too bad I lived so far and never got back to see him. But I will cherish the memories I made before I moved away. For my graduation he got me a globe because I majored in travel business management. He said I should travel the world. I hope to. If you want to email me, debee.hassan9@gmail.com is my email.   2. James, we tried so hard to find you when you were living in the group home in Baltimore! We loved you and loved bringing you to our Bible Fellowship when we lived in Baltimore. You were a delight to be friends with and we will never forget you. Rest in peace.

    • I just realized, that no one said anything about his family.i am his sister, Cathy Frampus. But am a Ramsey by birth. We shared the same mother and father. I was removed from the home in 1957, and raised in New Jersey until I got married. I have 4 kids who are his nephew and nieces. He has 25 great nieces and nephews. Also 6 great great nieces and nephews. I know nothing of the rest of the family. Like I was removed from the and given away to a lady in NJ. Any questions you might want to ask, feel free.
