Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Jane was my colleague at Concordia College and was an amazing friend. She was the sweetest co-worker and also had an incisive mind, great skills and a rock solid inner strength. I will always remember the role she played in welcoming me to Concordia and teaching me how to do my best work. She was a remarkable individual.

    • Thank You for sharing your memories of our Mom.

  2. I first met Jane and Lloyd in 1970 when I went to a prayer meeting at their home. Through the years I came to know Jane was a woman of deep faith and kindness. She turned to the Lord when Lloyd and daughter Cindy were tragically taken from her. My Mom and brother enjoyed playing whist with Jane and others at St. Francis. Whenever I would see her, she always wore a smile and asked about how my family were. Jane was a special lady and will be missed. Our sympathy and love to Tim, Claudia, Tom, Mike, Mary, John, Julie and David.

    • Pat,
Thank You for sharing meaningful snippets of our Mom’s life.

  3. May this lovely lady be at peace in eternal glory. My prayers and sympathy are with her family.

    • Thank you for sharing your memories of my Mom.

  4. I came to know and love Jane and Lloyd Gerdes from July, 1970-71; I was privileged to begin my ministry as a parish priest at St. Francis deSales in conjunction with Fr. Francis Ketter, the pastor. The Cursillo movement was alive with “spiritual fire” and Jane & Lloyd were several of the grace-filled apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Moorhead/Fargo area.
Jane was gifted with a loving and warm heart filled with compassion and trust. Her radiant smile reflected the radiant spiritual energy of her soul.
I pray that Jane’s Baptismal faith, joy and trust in the Divine Love of Jesus Christ will encourage everyone in her circle of prayer. Jane and Lloyd, we shall see you in the eternal dance and delight of Heaven. Jesus is smiling!

    • Fr. Duane,
Thank You for highlighting some of our Mom’s many gifts and ministries. She did value your service and your humor.

  5. Mary n family. So sorry for the loss of your mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
