Janet Gehrig peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the age of 88, at Eventide in Fargo. She was born on April 29, 1935, to Octave and Alma (Rheault) Cossette and grew up on the family farm in Horace, North Dakota.
Janet’s strong work ethic led her to various positions throughout her life. After her marriage, she resided in Barnesville, Minnesota, before settling in Fargo. She dedicated her time and energy to her work, first at Kresge’s on Broadway and later at Dakota Hospital. Ultimately, she concluded her career at St. John’s Hospital.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Janet found joy in spending time on her daughter’s farm near Kindred. She cherished the simple pleasures of life and particularly enjoyed shopping and dancing.
