Janice Richter

Janice M. Rheault Richter, 72, Fargo passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley surrounded by her family.
Janice was born October 19, 1949 to Alpha and Lorraine (Villiard) Rheault. She attended school at St. Benedict’s before graduating from Fargo North High School in 1967. She went on to attend Interstate Business College and was employed at Agricultural Insurance Company. Throughout her career, she worked in dining services and she ran the Hunter Café with her husband and kids. She also worked at NDSU and the Good Samaritan Home in Arthur, ND. She married Allen Richter on February 14, 1970 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Wild Rice, ND.
She always enjoyed crafting, sewing, making quilts, crossword puzzles and word searches. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and at the lake were some of her favorite things. She could also be found tending to flowers in her garden when she had the chance.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allen, Fargo, ND; children, Brian (Tina) Richter, Fargo, ND, Michael (Cazandra) Richter, Tacoma, WA, John (Becky) Richter, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Austin and Cody Richter, Anthony (Stefanie), Abigail and Jo Berger, Ian Richter, Caity Chap, Jayce Chap; siblings, Robert (Nancy) Rheault, NC, Ron (Barb) Rheault, Fargo, ND, Terry (Kim) Rheault, CA; brother-in-law, Jerry Qualey, Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Diane Qualey and Louise Coggin.
Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, ,2022 at Boulger Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, Fargo with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M.
Memorial Mass: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo with visitation starting at 1:00 P.M. The service will be live streamed on Boulger Funeral Home’s website at www.boulgerfuneralhome.com.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery South, Fargo.
All are welcome to a time of fellowship after the funeral at Park Avenue Apartments, 555 40th St. S., Fargo ND .
