Jerome “Jerry” Brager, 76, West Fargo, ND, passed away in his home on Friday, July 21, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Jerome Leroy Brager was born on January 19, 1947 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Norman and Ida (Rohrbach) Brager. Jerry grew up in the Fargo and West Fargo area. Jerry joined the Navy in 1965 until his discharge in 1971. After his discharge he met the love of his life Joan Bensen. Jerry then married Joan on January 14, 1972. They lived in Minnesota for a short time until moving to the West Fargo/Horace area for the last 50 years. Jerry was employed by Silverline before switching to Sexuar Seed Company. Jerry owned the Lil Sooper Grocery Store in Horace, ND for 7 years. After selling the grocery store, he got a job with Midland Garage Door for 18 years until his retirement. Jerry enjoyed being with his family, friends, going to the casino “church” and drinking his Budweiser.

He is survived by his wife Joan, West Fargo, ND; children Jodie (Rickey) Jacobson, Moorhead, MN, and Jamie (Tammy) Brager, Fargo, ND; brother Ron (Jan) Brager, West Fargo, ND, Sandy (Todd) Muchow, West Fargo, ND, and Debbie (Bob) Brager, Fargo, ND; his 7 grandchildren Brittany, Krista, Lexi, James, Ariel, Rickey, and Allie; 6 great-grandchildren Brayden, Abigail, Dominic Jerome, Alexis, Damian, and Brynlei; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Norman Brager; his brother Steven Brager; and his sister Diane Slinger.

Family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for taking such good care of Jerry in his final days.
