Jerry Douglas Jondahl, 74, of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 11, 2026 in his home surrounded by family, under the care of HIA Hospice.

Born March 3rd, 1952, in Fargo, ND. Jerry was the son of Theodore and Frances Jondahl of Page, ND. He graduated from Page High School in 1970 and went on to earn his associate degree in Printing from North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND in 1973.

Jerry worked in print shops in St. Cloud, MN and Fargo throughout his career. He also enjoyed driving for various trucking companies. Jerry married Patrice Polzin on May 20, 1978 in Luverne, MN. In November of 1978 the couple moved to Fargo where they raised their son, Daniel and have lived for 48 years.

Jerry loved to travel with family and to experience wildlife habitats from Alaska to Colorado to Yellowstone, and his countless tee-shirts can prove it. But most of all, Jerry loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren, Craig and Kimber. He also loved sharing a good, long story and was known for his infectious laugh, preferably around the campfire.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Patti, son Dan (Steph) Jondahl of Fargo, grandchildren Craig and Kimber, brother-in-law Tim (Jackie) Polzin of Rapid City, SD, and sister-in-law Jenny Polzin of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by nieces Lyndsay Polzin, Samantha (Paul) Pravdenko, and nephew T.J. (Margaret) Polzin as well as numerous family members and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Frances and father and mother-in-law Sam and June Polzin. We wish to thank the Oncology Department of Essentia Cancer Center for their kindness and care. And a special thank you to the extraordinary care he received from his HIA Hospice team.
