John Lesmeister

John Lesmeister, 50, of Fargo, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 in his home of natural causes. John Stephen Lesmeister was born on October 3, 1955 in Dickinson, ND to Leo and Joyce (Mosset) Lesmeister. He graduated from Halliday High School in 1973. He graduated from the University of Mary and then served as State Treasurer of North Dakota from 1980-1984. He married Cindy Hulm on August 13, 1982 in Bismarck. In 1990, John moved to Fargo where he was employed with Innovis Hospital and was a substitute teacher for the Fargo schools. John also served on the Board of Directors for Churches United for the Homeless, was active in Rainbow Recovery, and was Church Council Treasurer for Children of the Living God Church. John touched many people?s lives with his gift of friendship. His family and friends are grateful for having shared in his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother, Jack Lesmeister. He is survived by his mother, Joyce (Larry) Schultz of Bismarck, ND, his father, Leo (Gerry) Lesmeister of Dickinson, ND, his siblings, Janie (Ed) Williams of Dickinson, ND, Janice (Duane) Wolf of Bismarck, ND, Julie Lesmeister of Bismarck, ND, James (Marolyn) Lesmeister of Halliday, ND, Jeff (Marilyn) Lesmeister of Gainesville, FL, Joel (Julie) Lesmeister of Bismarck, ND; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 am in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church and also on Friday from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
