John Muhl
September 3, 1959 ~ June 25, 2014
John Muhl passed away on June 25, 2014 at his home in Fargo, ND at the age of 54.
John was born on September 3, 1959 to William and Grace Muhl in Addison, Illinois. In 1961 the family moved to Fargo, where he attended school, graduating from Fargo South High
in 1977. Most recently John worked at The Work Zone in West Fargo. John enjoyed bowling, golfing, tending his vegetable garden each summer and spending time with friends from work.
John is preceded in death by his father and mother. John is survived by his brother Gary (Bonnie) Muhl of West Fargo, sisters Patricia (Jerry) Link of Fargo and Nancy (Roger) Dvergsten of Adams, MN and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial gifts in memory of John will be sent by the family to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Addison, Illinois where John will be buried next to our mom.

John and I worked together at Hardee’s back in the early 1980s. We were the same age, and had many similar interests, so we bonded and did a lot together for a few years. We called him “Too Tall”. Its been many years since I’ve seen John, and that is a regret of mine. Rest easy friend.

I grow up in the same neighborhood as the Muhl’s and remember John vaguely, but I do remember the family as my brother hung out with Gary and I remember you Patty and that you were always kind and such a carrying person as I am sure of this in John as I see it in the guestbook entries that he reflects his family spirit. They spoke of you as though you were part of our family. Thank you for spending time with our mom, Eileen, after our brothers passing. She so enjoyed your trips to Hankinson & treasured the crock you gave her, the name escapes me now, but she loved it. RIP Johnny & make sure you deal mom & Mike a winning hand.

John was my boss for many years as we dealt blackjack together but John was not a boss to me but a best friend. We had many fun and interesting nights at the table and John was always the cool headed one of the two of us and kept me from many altercations on the table. I have never seen a dealer with so many return customers return just to see if they could beat the mighty John. Very few did, but they still came back again and again to lose and enjoy every minute with John. I will miss you buddy and will have great memories until we meet again. Farewell my friend and they truly did break the mold when you came into this world. Things just won’t be the same without you sitting behind that jar bar selling those tickets. Love you forever John.
