John Sandgren

John A. Sandgren, 73, of Fargo, died May 12 in his home. John Sandgren was born January 6, 1931, in Bathgate, ND. He graduated from Walsh County Ag School in Park River, ND, in 1949. John married Donna Louise Surerus in 1954. They lived on the Sandgren farm near Bathgate, ND, then in Gwinner, ND, where John worked for Melroe Co., and in Fargo, ND, where he was the industrial equipment sales representative for the F-M Forklift until retiring in 1996. John married Patricia Anne McGowan in 1985. He is survived by his first wife, Donna of Fargo, and his wife, Patty; sisters Alice Olson (Alfred Byron) of Cavalier, ND, and Ruth (Marvin) Mandery of Minneapolis, MN; his son, Thomas (Pat) Sandgren of Woodbury, MN; his daughters, Patti (Bill) Bergeth of Des Moines, IA, and Susan Marie Nyberg of Fargo; step-daughters, Lammel (Tony) Szeitz-Sager of Las Vegas, NV, and Magda (Mike) Szeitz-Kearns of Brainerd, MN; six grandchildren, Katie and Christine Bergeth of Des Moines, IA, Michael and Kristi Sandgren of Woodbury, MN, and Joshua and Stephanie Nyberg of Fargo. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
