John Stephen Olmstead, 49, Fargo, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo. John son of Stephen and Janet Olmstead was born January 8, 1967. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1984. John attended NDSCS and earned his degree in Culinary Arts. John married Lara Loritz in West Fargo. He worked at the Doublewood Inn and Holiday Inn of Fargo before moving to Minneapolis where Aramark employed him for many years.  John had been working at Compass group until he became ill and returned to Fargo to be with his family. John had a deep appreciation of music which he shared with many friends. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Janet, Fargo; sisters, Michelle (Patrick) Beyer, Fargo, Erika (Peter) Hiestand, Afton, MN; nieces and nephews, Jordan Dalton, Kaytlyn, Alexis, Brandon, Dria, Aliyah, Justin, Mady, Stevie, Coltra, Maxwell, Camden Dominik and one great niece ; and special friend Tracy Styf. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center.   10. Steve and Janet, Sorry for your loss, just found out about it now on Shanley’s web page. We lost our 38 year old daughter in October 2014 .
