  1. Uncle John always shared kindness, with a sparkle in his eyes. The brightness of his smile, and the depth of his soul will last in our hearts forever. Big John will be remembered as our gentle giant. Losing you is no doubt a significant loss to all of us. You will always be missed.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear of John’s passing. My condolences go out to the Watland family. I have so many good memories of John. We spent so many great times in the boat or ice fishing. He was always so eager to help out with any problems I might have. From a snowmobile that wouldn’t run to a car or boat motor,he could fix anything. Some of my favorite memories were spent at the kitchen table over a cup of the best tea you could get anywhere. The stories and laughter were all very memorable. Rest in Peace John. You will be missed.

  3. The one time i actually remember Uncle John taking me out fishing was when he took me to the Tamarack National Wildlife Refuge. He took me Bass fishing. I had a lot of fun. I’m sure I did some Walleye fishing too. I think i was too young to remember that though. Sorry to hear about Uncle passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. love you all. The HOOSER’S
