Joseph “Butch” Goulet Funeral Service:

Joseph “Butch” Earl Goulet left this physical world on December 15, 2023. Surrounded by family, Butch took his last breath leaving a hole in our hearts that can never be replaced. His love and laughter shined bright until the very end.

Butch was born in Walhalla, ND on March 26, 1939. He was one of 18 children born to Arthur and Lena Goulet. Butch was adored by his brothers and sisters and spent time with them as often as he could.

After leaving home. Butch worked very hard as an Iron Worker in several states. He settled in Fargo, ND and worked at Cass Clay Creamery until retirement. During this time, Butch married Mary Richotte and began his family. Butch and Mary had 6 children: Terry Goulet, Joe (Mary Johnson) Goulet, Kory (Sue) Goulet, Curtis Goulet, Christy (Kurtis Moose) Goulet, and Scotty (Courtney) Goulet. Butch also had another son, Joey Goulet. He worked hard to take care of his family.

In the winter of 1981, Butch became a single father after the loss of his wife, Mary. Following the loss of his wife, Butch was blessed to find love a second time and married Paula Jackson. Adding to his family, Butch loved and accepted his stepchildren: Phaedra (Elvis Thumb) Jackson, Philmore (Kari) Jackson, Pernell Jackson, and Adrianne Jackson, as his own. He spent time traveling with Paula to see and visit his family.

Butch settled in Tomah, WI, with his wife Paula and 2 grandchildren. He spent his time taking care of Paula and raising Ignatia (Iggy) Jackson, Eric Wanna, and Leo (Ariyanna) Mahkimetas. He enjoyed watching game shows, going to Casinos, going to Powwows and watching dirt track racing. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents, 12 brothers and sisters, his son, Terry Goulet, his first wife, Mary (Richotte) Goulet and second love Paula (Jackson) Goulet. He is survived by his 6 remaining brothers and sisters, 7 sons, 3 daughters, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by all of those that knew him and loved him.
