He faithfully served three things in his life: the Lord, the Army, and his wife, Luella. He married Luella (Diede) in February of 1981. Joe had many occupations during his lifetime, but his longest career was owning his service station, J & L Services, in Jamestown, ND. With pride, he served his community and took extra care to make sure everyone had safe, running vehicles and went above and beyond to ensure a full service was performed every time. It was his dedication to building relationships that set his service station apart. Joe and Lu spent many happy days camping, fishing, and traveling to visit their grandchildren, and they always had a dog by their side: (throughout the years) JJ, Khito, Sam, Ben, Buttons, and, now, PJ. They moved to Fargo in 2006 where Joe worked at the Flying J until the present. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife, Lu. Joe is survived by his daughters, Lisa Lee (Shawn Lee) and Sherry Ganser; his grandchildren, Briana Kelly (Jacob Grittman), Josh Ganser (Leah Hook), and Bella Lee (Alex Goodrie); his great grandchildren, Jameson Grittman and baby due in October 2022; and PJ.
