Joseph “Joe” James Harbeke, age 76, passed away on June 20, 2024, surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Joe was born on November 14, 1947, in Fargo to Joseph A. and Rosemary (Melander) Harbeke. He was raised on the farm in Page, ND and worked with his father.

Joseph and Carol Lindseth were married in 1979 in Erskine, MN. Joe lived on the home farm and farmed with his son, Brian. He also farmed with Jim, Dan, and Jerry Lindseth, Anthony and Patrick Lindseth, Hunter Pelzman, Todd and Diane Viestenz, and Tom Soucy.

Throughout his life, Joe was actively involved in his community, serving on many boards including the Cass County Fair Board, the Township Board, the State Crop Improvement Board, and the Page 125th Anniversary Committee.

Joe is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Brian (Tori) Harbeke; grandchildren, Eowyn and Desmond Harbeke; brother, Bob (Peggy) Harbeke; sisters, Ruth Eberle and Carol (Richard) Lewis; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosemary Harbeke; and brother-in-law, Jim Eberle.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to any of the following organizations: Page Cemetery, Page Café, Elim Healthcare, or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Joey, my friend, my farm mentor(tried to teach me about the basis..ha), my marketing manager (always looking for clients for my real estate business and asking market questions), and ,lastly, my client. This friendly gentleman always was trying to help me and others; always feeding us ( was lucky that his love of his life, Carol, was/is such a wonderful cook), entertaining us, and teaching us. You will be missed, but I am sure your heavenly farm operation is in full gear.
