Joshua Maddock

Joshua became a part of our family at the age of 5.  Pulling into our driveway for the first time, he cried out "Wow Mom, it's just like Disney Land!" Joshua was a boundless bundle of raw energy, whose only hope was to feel love in a Forever Home.  It wasn't long before it seemed he had always been with us, and we learned soon that our lives would never be quite the same! Joshua had so many gifts.  He was curious about life, quick of wit, funny, artistic, intelligent, forgiving, gentle, loving… but most of all he was resilient. It was his resiliency that went like a shining light before him. It led him through the darkest of times, helping him to forgive the wrongs of his broken past and to see beyond the now. Josh's journey over the past couple of years has been one of excruciating physical pain. Unfortunately, doctors at Sanford and Mayo Clinic could not provide answers or relief for his suffering.  His beautiful fiancée, Robin Johnson, has been his strength and has helped to keep his light of hope alive for the past eight years. She surrounded Joshua with a loving blanket of trust and unconditional love. He loved her deeply and looked forward to marriage and to someday beginning a family together. Joshua demonstrated unbelievable strength and courage as he waited for earthly answers.  These answers were not to be found here. He has joined his biological brother, Miah, and together they both now have their final Forever Home. God hold you in his loving arms and rock you in peace. It was an honor, a privilege, and a blessing to have you in our lives for 33 years. There are no perimeters around our love. You have  taken ours with you and left yours behind. Love is eternal. Joshua is survived by his parents, Judi and John; brother Jeffrey (Kristin); and sisters Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Johnson and Ondrea (Todd) Levos. He is also survived by eight adoring nieces and nephews, a biological brother Jerrod Beck, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was proceeded in death by an infant brother John Ryan Maddock, grandparents Rose and Morris Seter and Helen and Bernard Maddock, and a biological brother Miah Renbarger.
