Joyce Ann (Scheller) Johnson, affectionately known as Joie, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Fargo,ND. She was surrounded by friends and family, knowing she was loved. Born on February 7, 1949, in Wahpeton, ND, to Peter and MaryAnn (Krump) Scheller. She was an adventurous soul with a deep love for her family and friends.
Joie attended St. John’s Catholic School and graduated from Wahpeton High School. She furthered her education at NDSSS. Known for her soulful spirit and wit, Joie brought joy and comfort to her clients and colleagues alike.
Beyond her professional life, Joie was deeply passionate about drawing, creative writing, and solving puzzles. These hobbies were a testament to her loving, creative, and adventurous spirit. She had a unique ability to capture the beauty of the world around her and express it in various artistic forms.
A celebration of Joie’s life will be planned for later this summer, where friends and family can share memories of her spirited and caring nature. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joie’s memory to local initiatives she was passionate about, including children’s education, the Humane Society, and local food pantries, reflecting her giving spirit and love for her community. Joie’s legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire those who knew her.
