Joyce Marie (Arends) Martineau, 75, of Grand Forks, ND formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away on April 3rd, 2022 at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo, ND. Joyce was born April 26th 1946 at Olga, ND to Charles and Annette (Beauchamp) Arends. She grew up in the Olga and Walhalla area, and attended school in Walhalla, ND. In 1964 she married Norman (Buddy) Martineau and they moved to California in 1965 and returned to Walhalla, ND in 1978. She lived in Walhalla, ND until she moved to Grand Forks in 1989. She worked at Walmart from 1989 till 2011 when she retired. She was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. Joyce is proceed in death by her father Charles, mother Annette, her sister Dorothy Ann, her brother Daryl. Preceding her also is her brother in law Steven (Butch) Hotten. Joyce is survived by her children son Norman (Tina), Fargo, ND, son Brian, Grand Forks, ND, daughter Brandie (Villery), Grand Forks, ND. Her 7 grandchildren Matthew (Mackenna) Martineau, Brianna (Kevin) Iverson, Hunter (Jacki Olson) Martineau, Hayden (Katie Kemper) Martineau, Hyatt Martineau, Hannah Martineau, Ashlynn Martineau, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Corine (James) Doyle, Gloria Hotter, and Linda (Mike) Largent, 1 brother Eben Arends, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Olga, ND.
