Julian Rheault
November 6, 1924 ~ June 12, 2011
Julian Joseph Rheault, 86, of Dilworth MN, passed away peacefully June 12, 2011 surrounded by his loving family in the palliative care unit at Sanford Hospital.
Julian was born November 6, 1924 in Riverside, Montana, to Victor and Laura Rheault. In 1937 the family moved to Horace, North Dakota to farm. He met and married Henrietta Gress in 1947. They made their home in Fargo and Together raised four loving children.
Julian was a long time member of the Catholic Church and was actively involved with the 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He was also involved as a member of the Elks and Eagles fraternal organizations. He worked for 30 years as a skilled diesel technician at Midland Diesel Service and retired in 1987. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed wonderful winters in Arizona where he spent his days woodworking, and enjoying time with his wife and many friends. His summers were filled with gardening, fishing, and cherished family time spent at their lake home on Long Lake near Detroit Lakes MN. He was an avid woodworker and adorned his cabin with his creations.
Julian was a kind and loving man with gentle, hard working hands and a big heart. He was a generous friend to many, a loving, faithful husband and father, and a wonderful grandpa. He was extremely close to his kids and all of his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Henrietta; two sons: Terry (Kathy) of Fargo, & Jeff (Stephanie) of Dilworth; two daughters: Connie (Dennis) Meier of Rapid City, SD, Susan (Douglas) Landsverk of Aitkin, MN; Grandchildren: Jason (Chalaine) Meier, JoEllen (Mike) Keegan, Terry Jr (Kristy) Rheault, Melanie (Ben) Noonan, Erik, Kevin & Jamie Landsverk, Justin (Ashley) Moug; eight great-grandchildren; sisters: Nellie Sauvageau of Santa Rosa, CA, Angela (Ed) Sauvageau, Marie Rheault, Virginia Hahne; Brother Donald Rheault, all of Fargo; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alphie, Steve, & Edward; sisters Ceceila, Claudia, Rick & Agnes Anderson.

Terry and family Connie: Ray and I were sorry to hear of your loss with Julian’s passing. As I say quite often these days, it seems no matter what the age or health conditions, it is still very difficult to lose a parent and grandparent. May God hold him in his arms and give all of you peace as you move forward.
Yours freinds-Dee and Ray
