Julie Erickson

June 25, 1969 ~ December 30, 2014
Julie Michele Erickson was born June 25, 1969 to parents, Paul J. and Janet M. Erickson in Park River, ND. She attended school in Park River and resided there until 1985 when her family moved to West Fargo, ND where she lived until her death on December 30, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Julie was currently employed by CDS, Costco Warehouse.
Julie had a beautiful smile, hearty laugh and was very witty. She lived life on her own terms and was a good friend to those who knew her; she was greatly loved.
She was the mother of 3 sons, Levi, Justas and Zakary of West Fargo. She was an avid hockey fan and loved watching her older sons play hockey in West Fargo and more recently, Zak playing football.
Julie is survived by her sons, Levi Thene, Justas Thene and Zakary Thene of West Fargo; her mother, Janet; brothers, John and Jason of West Fargo, and James of LA; her grandmother, Michele Mullen; and special friend, Derrick Youngberg and “Duke” of Fargo, ND.
Preceding her were her father, Paul J. Erickson; grandfather, James Mullen, and Gordon and Connie Erickson.

Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories of Julie to forever hold in your hearts. I am so sorry for your loss

The Erickson’s were my country neighbors in Park River. Julie was a few years older and I remember always thinking how beautiful she was and I remember how excited I would be when Julie would let Jason and I tag along to go swimming at the river. Since I never had any sisters, I thought that was the best thing ever. My thoughts go out to all of the Erickson family.

I worked with Jules at Paradiso, had a few Jacks with a jack back with her and gave a few rides home when needed. Jules was an awesome person and I feel blessed to have known her. She always put a smile on even when she wasn’t having the best day. She had so many beautiful qualities that are so hard to find. She will be truly missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Julie’s untimely passing. I went to school with her in Park River and sat next to her in the flute section of the band (and she was way more talented than I was). My sympathies to Julie’s family.
So sorry to hear about Julie’s passing. I attended 6-8th grade with her in Park River. The first thing that pops into my memory when I think of Julie is that amazing smile and her absolutely infectious laugh!
May stories of her memory carry you all through this difficult time.

come to your mom’s celebration of life. We love and miss you terribly.
West FargoI’ll smile when I remember your stories which were always based on bad luck. Whether you were barefooted or wearing moccasins… you always had a way of making people laugh. You will always be beautiful and dearly missed by many who love you. Gone much too soon. Rest in peace, Jules.
Iowa City IATo Jan, John, Jason, Jamie, and Julie’s boys my mind is filled with memories of Julie. As I replay those “good old days” growing up in Park River, Julie is certainly a part of those memories. She was always the smart and fun girl in our gang and always put the needs and wants of her friends first. Julie was a loyal and true friend. Although she could be quiet at times, she was definitely the most courageous. She expressed herself in a passionate way that only a fearless and confident young girl could. This is how I will always remember Julie. Rest in peace, old friend.
My deepest sympathy for all of Julie’s family,

Littleton ColoradoI regret to say I have not seen Julie in years. But she was a niece to me. The few times we were together at the lake I saw a beautiful young girl. I remember her sitting on the end of the dock with her feet in the water, with her head set
on listening to music. Eyes looking out across the lake. I also remember the night we were all down by the lake and she was asked to play the flute. The night went quiet and she played so beautifully. I enjoyed her music! And talent! I could have listened for hours.
I believe so strongly in God and have great faith but her leaving us the way she did is impossible for my head or heart to understand. I do wish I had known her better. But to all of you left to go on without her, she is with her daddy and grandpa! The pain of her loss will not leave my heart until I join her, Paul and my many loved ones. With love to all, Cheryl

I grew up with Julie. We spent a lot of time together in junior high and high school. I have very fond memories of “camping out” at the river on Hankey’s property,and almost always ending up in Erickson’s basement,because we would get rained out. Julie was smart,funny,musically talented,and a wonderful all around person. She will be missed….
Rest in peace my beautiful cousin. You will be truly missed.
Moorhead MnJan and family,
Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, may all your memories of cousin Julie comfort you in the days to come. I will always remember her for her kindness towards others. May she now experience True Peace in Heaven.

When I was a kid, Julie and my sis Jennifer Novak spent a lot of time together in Park River and Veseleyville.
Julie never treated me as a tag along or \”Jen’s little sister\”. She was always sweet, kind, and included me, treated me like I was the only person in the room. Julie personified beauty, inside and out.
Thank you, Julie, for the amazing, beautiful, sweet person you were to me and continue to be. We will see each other again some day in a place where there is no sadness, no pain, and where the joy, comfort, and presence of Love reigns!
I pray for the comfort Jesus brings to your family, Derek, and Duke. Love you.;
Dear July,you were our little neighbor girl,and played with our girls at our home many times,and be swimming in the river in the summer until lunch time ,than all the kids be in for lunch ,with the hankey kids,we all be missing you! you will be with your Dad in Heaven.with sympathy.Family Cornelis Jonk;
