I have known June for so many years. We enjoyed many long visits and good times together. Her 90th birthday Celebration was such a good time with so many pictures, smiles and laughs from past memories, and we made new memories. She was so very talented and I enjoyed times with her quilting at Jo’s house. So very glad I got to see her recently with our friend Sandy. You will be missed June. You almost got to 100!!
June Heneman

June Heneman passed away, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Bethany on 42nd Retirement Living in Fargo, ND.
June was born June 30, 1928 to Lester and Millicent (Webb) Eddington in Sarles, ND. Her childhood was spent in Hannah, ND; where her father worked in US Customs and Immigration. Hannah was a farming community. She grew up as an only child. She traveled with her parents to visit relatives in California, Illinois, and Florida. Her first job was working in the local drug store in Hannah. She graduated from Hannah High School. After high school, she enrolled at the University of ND, Grand Forks and obtained a degree in Business at a local college.
She married Allen Heneman and they took over the family general store in Pembina, ND where they resided. She kept the books and assisted with sales and purchasing of the inventory of groceries and dry goods. During this time they welcomed two sons, Kerry and Kent.
June assumed the role of a military wife when Allen enlisted in the US Army. They lived on several bases in both the west and east coast of the US and finally stationed in Germany. While in Tennessee, June completed her bachelor’s degree in biology education at Austin Pea State University and taught for a time in Tennessee.
When June returned to the US, she chose to live in Fargo, ND because of the competitive bridge games available. She was extremely proud of achieving Life Master status. She lived in her own home until almost 90 when she moved into Bethany Retirement Home apartments, assisted living and skilled nursing since last October. Besides playing bridge, June crafted and made quilts. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
June valued financial investing/planning, education, singing, listening to music, and going out to eat with her family. She celebrated her 98th birthday with an English tea party held at Bethany.
June is survived by her son Kent (Barb) Heneman, their son Brendan, and great-grandchildren Rylan and Aliyah; brother, Lester “Connie” (Lyla) Eddington, their children Terresa (Mark) Williams, Tracie Eddington, and Brett Eddington, and grandchildren Nathan (Jillian) Elizabeth, Natalie, and Simone; sister-in-law Nancy Eddington, her children Jeremy Eddington and Gretta (Ron) Ohmann, and grandchildren, Grayson Ohmann, McKenna (Nick) Nelson, and Karisa Eddington, and great-grandchildren Bowen, Grayson, Garnet, Carter, and Carson.
She is preceded in death by her son Kerry Heneman, parents Lester and Millicent Eddington, and brother Garnett Eddington.
