With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Ann Bradsteen on July 12, 2024, at Sanford Hospice House. She was born on December 31, 1943, in Nevis, Minnesota, to Ervin Weeks and Clara Hansen.

Karen married Harold Bradsteen on July 2, 1961, at Golden Ridge Lutheran Church in Fargo. Together, they built a beautiful life in Moorhead, Minnesota, after residing in Chicago and Fargo for a brief period following their marriage.

A dedicated individual, Karen embraced various roles during her career, from providing daycare services to working at American Crystal Sugar, Great Plains Software, and the Nordic Needle. She eventually retired in 2007 after years of hard work.

Karen and Harold enjoyed their winters in Arizona, savoring the warmth and creating cherished memories. She had a passion for reading, golfing, cooking, and tending to her lawn. Above all, she treasured moments spent with her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to attend their events and celebrations.

Karen will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 63 years, Harold, Moorhead, MN; children, Joseph Bradsteen, Steven Bradsteen, Scott (Amy) Bradsteen, and Kenneth Bradsteen; sisters, Charlotte Gilje, Judy (Lance) Gunderson, and brother, Jerry (Caroline) Weeks; many nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren, Joey Jr. Bradsteen, Jenny Bradsteen, Alicia Bradsteen, Tyler Bradsteen, Sarra (Nelson) Del Calvo, Krista (Desmine) Duffy, Jakob Bradsteen, Althea Bradsteen, and Trenton Bradsteen; along with her 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Harold Weeks, Bob Weeks, David Weeks, Colleen Gilmore, and Donald Weeks.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M.
