Karl Carrillo
March 20, 1972 ~ February 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karl Eric Carrillo, 53, of Fargo, North Dakota, who left this world on February 24, 2026. Born on March 20, 1972, Karl lived a life marked by kindness and dedication to serving others.
Throughout his journey, which took him from the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, Portland and Seattle, WA; Tampa and Navarre, FL; and Augusta, GA; Karl established deep connections with those around him. He embraced various roles, including caregiver, nursing assistant, barista, restaurant host, and retail cashier. In each position, he brought a warmth and friendliness that touched the lives of many customers, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Karl was a devoted member of the Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, and also attended Infocus Church in Evans, Georgia. His faith was a guiding light and a source of strength throughout his life.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Carrillo; brothers James Jackson (Britney) of Hinesville, Georgia, and Robert Jackson of Navarre, Florida; stepfather Ronald Jackson of Hinesville, Georgia; as well as his cherished nieces Alexis in Panama City, Florida, and Layla Jackson, and nephew Bo Jackson in Hinesville, Georgia. Karl also leaves behind his aunt Nadine in Navarre, Florida, and his cousins Stacie, Amanda, Andrew Turman in Martinez, Georgia, and Eric Turman (fiancée Abbie) in Navarre, Florida.

Losing him left a space that can’t be filled, but it also left a responsibility—to live a little more honestly, to check in on people, to keep going even on the hard days.
Karl meant strength, compassion, and realness to me. And I’ll never forget that.
