Karla Wohlers, 44, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026 surrounded by her family at her home and under the compassionate care of her husband and Ethos Hospice.

Karla was born April 25, 1982 in Fargo, North Dakota, to Rudy and Lucy (Binstock) Radke. She graduated from Fargo North High School before continuing her education at North Dakota State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, followed by the University of Florida earning a Masters of Science in Teaching.

After completing her education, Karla returned home to Fargo and began her career in 2006 at North Dakota State University. She served as a lecturer and lab coordinator, a role she greatly enjoyed until 2018.

Karla married Mitch Wohlers in 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their two daughters, Savannah and Charlie. Family was truly the center of Karla’s world. She cherished her girls and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Her family was her greatest joy and some of her favorite memories were simply the times spent together. A family trip to St. Pete’s Beach was one of those special memories they will carry with them forever.

Karla found joy in the simple things in life. She was perfectly content to sit quietly and enjoy the peace around her. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was a member of the Ave Maria Bible Study group. Music was also a special part of her life. She loved a cappella music and was a devoted fan of The Blenders and Michael Bublé. She also enjoyed being part of bell choirs.

Above all, Karla’s faith remained steadfast throughout her life and especially during her journey with Acute Myeloid Leukemia since 2018. Even through the most difficult days, her faith never wavered.

Karla will be deeply missed by her husband Mitch; daughters Savannah and Charlie; mother Lucy Radke; brothers Kendall (Tiffany) Radke and Kyle (Leah) Radke; mother-in-law Connie Wohlers; sister-in-law Sheila Christianson; brother-in-law Tim (Jill) Wohlers; sister-in-law Heidi (Bert) Huntley; nieces and nephews Griffin, Walter, Jocelyn, Bennett (Maya), Brett, Claire, Isaac, Reagan, Ashlyn, Quinn, Sidney, Andrew, and Max; great niece Wrenley; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Radke, father-in-law, Kenny Wohlers; grandparents, Paul and Ethel Binstock, Rudolph Sr. and Mabel Radke; and nephew Tyler Wohlers.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made toward the upbringing and future of Karla’s daughters, Savannah and Charlie.
