Kathy was a stay at home mom for her 3 children until they moved to Sabin, MN in June of 1984 to own and operate Red River Boarding Kennels up until the time of her passing. She was loved by all of her customers and treated every animal like her own. She was known to have “Santa” come for the dogs on Christmas and owners always knew that their animals were loved and well cared for. In the earlier years, Kathy was active in Messiah Lutheran Church; teaching Sunday school, confirmation and was one of the wedding coordinators. She was active in a variety of committees; serving on the Fargo PTO for many years and the FM Bowling Board of Directors. She was an avid bowler in many leagues in Fargo-Moorhead and was inducted into the FM bowling Hall of Fame in 1999. Kathy is survived by her husband Ron of 52 years. Her son Rob (Nicole) Sahr, daughter Tonya (Patrick) Sorenson, and daughter Abby (Ryan) Hanson. She had 8 grandchildren that she loved very much and would do anything for; Brady Sahr (Kari), Tyler Sahr, Morgan Sahr, Sam Sorenson, Isaac Sorenson, Payson Hanson, Gabe Hanson, Gavin Hanson, and a great grandbaby on the way that she was so excited to meet. Preceding Kathy in death were her parents, Bill and Marge Lahren, her brother, Tim Lahren and her mother and father in law, Carlene and Alex Sahr. The Memorial Service will be July 16, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home at 10:30 AM with a visitation one-hour prior. 1. I am so sorry to hear about Kathy. I bowled many a tournament and league play that she was involved in. Such a sweet person. I had the pleasure of being invited for a couple of bowling gal get-togethers at her house and thought her kennel was so immaculate that I recommended her to whoever was looking for a doggie daycare! She sponsored one of my teams and we had a cheer that we started the night off with.

  27. Hearing of Kathy’s passing came as such a shock when it came in my email! Always such a bundle of happiness and energy it was sad to accept she was gone. Talking with Jeanie it helped to understand all she had been fighting. I know she is now joined by all who have passed before her including Doug, and is now at peace. She will surely continue to watch over you and be there to welcome the new baby just as she would have. May you all continue to feel her presence and love. You all were such an important part of our lives for so long while my girls were growing up. We send huge hugs and prayers for peace. Sandi, Andrea and Niki Jo 🙏🏼💓💓💓
