Kenneth James Ask, 90, Fargo, died Monday, April 9, 2012. It is with great sadness and an immense sense of loss we announce the passing of Kenneth James Ask ~ our dad, grandpa, husband, brother and friend.
Kenneth James was born January 12, 1922 in Finley, ND. Ken graduated from Finley High School in 1941. Ken and Esther married April 8, 1942.
Ken spent most of his life in Fargo, ND with the last four years at Edgewood Vista. Ken retired from Quality Boneless Beef in 1984 after working in the meat business for over 40 years.
Ken's passion was golf. He was inducted into the ND Golf Hall of Fame in 1999 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to golf in ND. Ken worked diligently to engage youth in his favorite sport.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Esther (Langager); sisters: Ardelle Rosendahl Fargo, ND, Bernice Peck (Paul) Seattle, WA; Children: Mary Hendrickson (Rick) Edina, MN; Michael (Sue) New Hope, MN. Grandchildren: Sven and Ian Hendrickson and Katie and Emily Ask all of Minneapolis, MN; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; Benjamin and Marion (Brekke) Ask; brother, Benjamin Jr.; sister, Doris Cornforth.
