Kevin Kelly age 52 of Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at MeritCare Palliative Care in Fargo VISITATION: 5-7 PM Friday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo - and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Saturday PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Friday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo FUNERAL MASS: 10 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Moorhead, MN BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo Kevin was a doer, a fixer. He saw what needed to be done and did it! He was always ready to help when needed. He had determination for accomplishment and pride in what he did. He accepted all challenges and moved forward. Kevin was born in Hibbing, MN on June 3, 1957. His family moved to Moorhead when he was younger, where he attended school. He graduated from Moorhead High and received a degree from Moorhead Technical College as an auto mechanic. Kevin married Deborah Rezac, the love of his life, on October 2, 1982. He decided to go back to school, receiving degrees in Dietetics and Sports Medicine from NDSU. He opened a private practice as a Licensed Registered Dietitian. These branched out into a career of restaurant inspections with Audits International and EcoSure, educational positions at Sister Rosalinds School of Massage and Moorhead Tech, consulting dietitian at Fraser Homes, and dietitian at NDSU Wellness Center. He was pursuing a Masters Degree program until this newest challenge began, one semester short of completion. Kevin faced all the levels of his medical challenges with a positive attitude, never giving in to defeat. Even with multiple trips to Roger Maris Cancer Center and Mayo Clinic, infections and hospital stays, tests and procedures, his spirit did not give up. There was always something else to try, and he continued to try until his body said “no more”. Kevin leaves behind his wife Deborah, his parents Helen and Gordon, his brothers Scott (Cathy) and Paul (Janet), his ‘other mother’ Betty Rezac, in-laws Tim Rezac, Kelly (Lori) Rezac, Kevin (Pam) Rezac, and Diane (Greg) Lorenz, 17 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be remembered as an exceptional person, showing himself by his actions to others. He loved to be able to share his time and talents. He will be well received by his grandparents, and father-in-law. Kevin, you are amazing. You have provided for me in so many ways, allowing us 27 wonderful years of marriage and so many beautiful memories. You are perfect for me and I will love you always...Debbie
